Step 4. Acknowledge Checklist

For your convenience, we have provided a checklist with the Multi-Factor Authentication requirement before you BEGIN.

Step 5. Select Your Role

Symphony will display up to four options for you to select from regarding your use of Symphony when available. The choices are:

  • I work for a Government Ordering Activity.
I want to place orders against Symphony-managed Contract Vehicles.
  • I work for the program Office of a contracting vehicle.
  • I work for an assisted acquisition office.
  • I am participating as a Proposal Evaluator.

Step 6. Enter your Contracting Office Code

Enter the FPDS-NG code for your Contracting Office and then select LOOKUP ORGANIZATION.

Step 7. Confirm Your Organization

Using the YES button confirms that the information displayed is correct and you have the authorization to access Symphony for your organization. NO will return to the previous step.

Step 8. Create Your Account and Password

Your username is your email address. Your first and last name and a password that meets the requirements must be added to your account. Using cancel at this time will cancel your registration.

Step 9. Configure Your Multi-Factor Authentication

Symphony requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when you register for the first time and every time you sign in. For Multi-Factor Authentication, you can use any time-based Authenticator Application or choose SMS delivery of the six-digit code. Your MFA code validates this step (See Figure 3).

A confirmation page will let you know that your registration is successful. Returning to the main page for Symphony will allow you to sign in.
