MFA by Text Message

To receive text messages from Symphony, follow these steps during registering: 

  1. Select the SMS option during the MFA setup
  2. Enter the wireless carrier
  3. Enter the wireless phone number
  4. Enter the six-digit code received via text
  5. Click Authenticate

 

Troubleshooting Text Message Delivery

Users with international phone numbers must use an authenticator app. (See Smartphone Apps for MFA or MFA Browser Extensions).


If a text message takes more than 5 minutes to arrive during login, it will expire (see Figure 1).

  • Request a new code by restarting the login process
  • Disabling wi-fi may help speed up the code delivery


Updating MFA Text Messages

To change or update MFA text message settings,

submit a ticket with the following information (see Figure 2):

  1. Select the Contract Vehicle to identify the website
  2. Select MFA
  3. Select the preference as Text Message
  4. Include the phone number and wireless carrier
